We often turn to history for inspiration when naming Rob's pieces. This reimagined ring gave us the opportunity to revisit and honor an earlier design that inspired it. Elen was the daughter of the Welsh price Llywelyn the Great. Her daughter was named Hawise.
The Hawise Knot Ring is a reimagining of the Elen Knot Ring that was sold from 2006-2007. The earlier ring was solid, with the knotwork carved into the ring. Rob created the Hawise Knot Ring using the pierced out knotwork, giving this ring an overall lighter look and feel.
The Hawise Knot Ring measures 1/4 inch at the top and narrows to just over 1/16 inch at the back.
