As many of you know, we're a small, family business. We try to give good value for price throughout the year when you buy our jewelry. We're also painfully aware that a lot of Internet shoppers choose one company over another at this time of year based on Holiday sales and discounts, and offers of free shipping. After all, we do it ourselves.
We return to stores who have given us good service and products in the past. We may choose between two new merchants based on discounts or sales. If we can't purchase locally, the decision may fall to the shipping costs between two stores. Sometimes that last condition has resulted in big disappointment when the free shipping turns out to be regular ground service of 7-10 days. Often the company will list the expected delivery time for the free shipping, but not always. I doubt our shopping habits and experiences are very different from our clients.
Our standard shipping is USPS Priority Mail. This is generally 2-3 days from Post Office to delivery. The US Postal Service has stated all Priority Mail packages shipped by December 20 will be delivered by December 25. We've decided to offer free Priority Mail shipping for all in stock orders over $200 placed by December 19. We're sorry we can't offer you the spectacular free shipping on $50 or $75 and the big discounts, but we don't put that big margin on our products. We make it and we offer you what we believe is a fair price. We hope the $200 threshold will encourage our clients to purchase several gifts through us.
Apparently, the shipping module doesn't add the free shipping automatically. Three shipping choices will appear for those clients reaching the $200 threshold: Free Shipping, Priority Mail, and Express Mail. Click on Free Shipping and you will receive Priority Mail shipping. Standard charges will apply for Express Mail and the insurance. We never charge any additional handling or packing fees.
